Driving back from my cousins wedding this weekend my sister and I stopped by the Treasure Island Flea market.  I love thrift markets but I’m definitely not the kind of person that is going to go out of my way to go to one so my sister slightly had to drag me along.  I'm so happy she did because it was so much fun! If you live in San Francisco this is such an amazing market and I would highly recommend it for a fun outing outside of the city.  It’s held the last weekend of every month in treasure island right off of the golden gate bridge.  The vendors are surprisingly high quality, especially if you’re looking for furniture and home decor as there is a large selection of fun vintage pieces at ridiculously reasonable prices.  I was making mental notes the entire time because when I move at the end of July this is going to be my first stop for decorating.  BUT the absolute best part about this flea market? There is an alcohol cart that you can stop by and grab a drink while you shop, so obviously my sister and I had to grab bloody marys to encourage our shopping.  The only disappointment were the food carts, they were very underwhelming but I also have very high expectations for food carts after numerous visits to Portland, OR.   All in all this is a really fun market and I would definitely recommend it for finding unique pieces for home décor and other household knick-knacks.

How cute and hipster is my sister? We have such different styles but I definitely gather a ton of my inspiration from her casual free people-esque style. The poncho she is wearing is from Argentina! My dad just got back from a trip there and he brought us all back great presents (he has good taste).

I just got this dress from Revolve clothing and I really love it.  The brand is Tularosa, they have such great summer dresses but everything I've ordered from them so far is way too short so I for this dress I had to go up a size (and it's still pretty short). Buying dresses that fit everywhere else except in the length is becoming a trend in my life and I'm not even that tall, I'm 5' 7", I can't even imagine being a few inches taller because nothing would ever fit. Maybe I've just become more conservative as I've gotten older but moral of the story; if you're buying something Tularosa (and are above 5' 3") you should go up a size.

She's perfect.

  1. The view at this place was amazing. This event was in the evening so it’s really a site to see when the sun sets. Just beautiful DC wedding venues! If you are planning your wedding here, don't worry too much about how to make it look even more beautiful.
