What I Want

A Week (almost) of Selfies

Since starting my new job at a small software startup my daily wear has become much more causal and fashion forward (thank god). While working in the finance industry during my first year out of college I completely underestimated the importance of being able express myself through my clothes on a daily basis.
In San Francisco the new startup uniform, which ranges from business casual to I just-rolled-out-of-bed casual, has completely taken over as the new norm for young professionals. Apart from a few legacy industries, the days of wearing suits and and frumpy heels to work are over and I can't say that I'm sad about that in the least.

My favorite boots of this season are my Zara booties.  You can see them very well in these pictures but trust me these need to be on your shopping list for Fall/Winter.  Stores like Zara, H&M, and Top Shop have been putting out amazing pieces the past few seasons.  It's so nice to see trendy and quality clothing offered at attainable prices.  The question I get asked most often is "where do I find well priced, cute clothing??".  For a while this was really difficult to answer because many of these european brands did not have a big presence in the US.  Over the past 3-5 years their presence has increased exponentially.  My favorite brands for chic, yet affordable clothes are:
  1. Top Shop
  2. Zara
  3. H&M
  4. Aritzia
  5. Blank NYC
  6. 1. STATE

Love, Jackie
