Daily Makeup Routine

The secret to beautiful makeup is to achieve a natural, effortless look.  I always get questions about what face makeup I use, and my answer begins and ends with products that double as makeup and protection.  I believe that if you pamper your skin, your makeup will naturally look beautiful.  See below for my tricks for how I keep my makeup looking fresh and flawless while still taking care of my skin.
Because I have particularly dry skin, my moisturizer is the most important part of my skin care/makeup routine, especially in the colder months. I discovered this Chanel moisturizer (here) through a sample that I was given and I absolutely fell in love.  The consistency is very thick and creamy, but it goes on extremely smooth and absorbs evenly into your skin. I use this every morning because it has such a fresh clean scent and makes me, and my skin, feel beautiful.

The real secret to my makeup routine is this combination of tinted moisturizer by Buxom (in Dim the Light here) and Burberry highlighter (in Nude Radiance here).  This Buxom tinted moisturizer is one of the best products I've ever used because it goes on light and silky and evens out your skin flawlessly (it's also SPF 30!!) while the Burberry Highlighter adds a perfect dewy glow.  I want my concealer to look as natural as possible and the reason I love these two products is because they provide great coverage, but you can barely tell that they're there. I use these products for every occasion and I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to achieve youthful, glowing skin.
After I've applied my tinted moisturizer combo, I then put on my bronzer and blush.  I use this Bobby Brown Bronzing powder (in Light Tan here) on my cheeks because it has no shimmer or sparkles so it creates a much more natural looking contour. Next, I use this Sephora blush palette (in Sweet here) on my cheek bones to add a flushed color to my skin. The shimmer in this palette also pairs nicely with the Burberry highlighter creating a subtle glowing effect.
When I'm particularly pale, like I am right now, and I need a little extra blush I use this Burberry lip & cheek color (in Rose here). I was skeptical of this product initially because the color looks so bright but it has an extremely silky light consistency, almost that of a primer, which creates a subtle, natural color.
Chapstick is something that I ALWAYS have in my purse and makeup bag.  Moisturized plush lips are the epitome of natural beauty and wearing chapstick before you put on your lip color is incredibly important. Burt's Bees will always be one of my favorite lip balms but recently I've been using this Rosebud Salve from Sephora (here) because it has a glossier finish.
As you can probably tell by now I have a thing for Burberry makeup.  I actually just recently discovered their makeup line and the quality blew me away. Everything that they make creates a natural, flawless, and sophisticated look; needless to say it is by far my favorite makeup line right now.  I have a few of their lipsticks and they are the perfect combination between lipstick, gloss, and chapstick. This lipstick is great for everyday because it has just enough color and shine and it is also very moisturizing (in Rose Blush here).
A few months ago I got eyelash extensions and I am obsessed with them.  I get questions and compliments on them all the time and the truth is that the salon that I get them done at, Artisan Eyelashes in SF, does an amazing job, and the salon makes all the difference.  Because I have eyelash extension I generally don't wear mascara on a daily basis because I don't have to and it wears out the eyelashes quicker. When I do wear mascara I use this Dior mascara (here). I love mascara that adds both volume and curl and this mascara does both flawlessly.
