Mink Pink & Festival Fashion

Photos by Nathalie Bize

Festival season is quickly approaching and while I'm skipping out on Coachella this year (I've been the past four years and desperately need a break), I am still fully involved in the festival fashion trends.  Over the next few weeks I am going to have multiple posts dedicated to festival fashion and am also in the process of making a "Tips and Tricks" video for all of the first-time Coachella goers on the must haves for the festival.

Mink Pink is one of the most underrated brands, especially for festival wear! They have fun quirky prints that are perfect for spring and summer.  This dress (from Top Shelf Style here) is incredibly flattering even though it's a mini dress and surprisingly comfortable. I prefer wearing dresses to festivals over shorts, mostly because I only have to pick out one piece to my outfit and I HATE wearing jean shorts to festivals.  I would definitely go check out all of Mink Pink's new SS16 pieces because not only are they on trend but they're insanely affordable relative to everything else out there.

The three other places I would recommend checking out for Coachella/festival fashion are Nasty Gal, Urban Outfitters, and Revolve Clothing.  Revolve is going to be a higher price point but your things but they have such a huge selection it's hard to go wrong there.  Urban is amazing for basic pieces like jean shorts, jean jackets, tanks, booties, backpacks etc. basically you should buy all of your festival essentials at Urban Outfitters.  Nasty Gal has really unique fashion forward pieces, they'll have the kind of thing that is only appropriate to wear to a festival.

Watch out for my videos to come and for those of you going to Coachella or any other festivals I would love to hear what you're thinking about wearing!!
